IUPUI
houses a number of TESOL resources for students and professionals.
The Department of
English at IUPUI offers the following programs in Teaching English to
Speakers of Other Languages.
1. The English
for Academic Purposes Program offers the TESL Certificate Programfor
students who have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution
and who would like to be trained in teaching English to non-native
speakers of English. For course information on the TESL

2. The English
Department Graduate Program offers a Master of Arts with a concentration
in TESOL. Students pursue the MA in English by combining the course
work for the TESL Certificate with additional courses to meet the
requirements of the MA in English. Students who complete the MA
in English with a TESOL concentration will be qualified to teach
in most post-secondary and adult programs in the US and in the international

When you have completed
your research into the two programs available through the Department of
English and wish to apply to one of the programs, please complete the

3. The School of
Education offers several programs in teaching English as a New Language for
certification and endorsements on an Indiana Teaching License or for the
